A recent spring trend has been literally blossoming off the top of girl's heads everywhere. Flower headbands are the latest thing when you're having a "blah" hair day. They come in all different colors and kinds, and you can find them anywhere from Wak-Mart to H&M. Pretty much anyone can pull it off as long as it's worn with the right outfit. The flower headband can be a cute way to complete any outfit from dressy to casual.

Blackberry vs. Iphone

It's almost impossible to go anywhere without seeing people constantly using their cell phones. Recently, it has become extremely difficult to purchase a cell phone in which you don't have to pay a monthly fee of atleast $20.00 (depending on what data plan you have) for internet. Two of the most popular kinds of phones are the Blackberry and the Apple Iphone. But which one is better? They are both very complex devices that do similar things, it just depends on the type of use you're going to put into it. The Iphone is a phone, has internet access, and also an ipod which makes it the first of it's kind. The Blackberry is a phone, has internet access, and the capability to hold music.

Tanning bed or death bed?

As prom season approaches, many teenage girls (including myself)are hitting the tanning salons to get darker faster.But how safe is tanning? Not safe at all. Tanning beds have been recently identified as a carcinogen which is a cancer-causing agent. Frequent usage can damage and thin the skin so it is more difficult to heal. Indoor tanning is also linked to melanoma (a form of skin cancer) and can cause disfigurement. According to DERMA Doctor, people who frequently use tanning beds experience earlier aging of the skin, wrinkles, and a thick, leather-like texture. Frequent tanning can also turn into a serious addiction. I personally am not against tanning if it's done in moderation, but I do believe it can become a serious problem. I guess when it comes to indoor tanning, consider the facts and decide for yourself.

Twitter the new facebook

Is "tweeting" the new in? Twitter, the latest in social networking sites has lately been growing in popularity from celebrities to highschool students. Facebook and Twitter have distinct differences, but is one better than the other? While facebook allows users to have an entire page with information, wallposts, pictures, and whatever else... Twitter is simply a username and allows "tweeters" to post messages and thoughts throughout the day. On both sites you can associate with whom you want... (on Twitter it's called following and on Facebook it's called friending). According to the Huffington post, Facebook is still racking in more user time than Twitter is. But with funny celebrity tweets coming from Charlie Sheen and star of Tosh.0 Daniel Tosh, who knows how long Facebook will keep the crown. Watch out Mark Zuckerberg!

J-Lo trying to make a comeback?

Jennifer Lopez is a name that most people have heard before, but most people haven't heard her voice on the radio in a few years. Recently in 2011 it seems that she's trying to make a comeback. But my question, is she trying too hard? Her new single "On the floor" featuring Pitbull was released in February and remains number 8 on the top charts Itunes singles. "On the floor" is a catchy, upbeat dance tune with the typical random spanish rap lines thrown in by Pitbull. Although it's new and catchy, it's nothing special and J-Lo had her 15 minutes 15 years ago....Has 41 year old Jenny from the block lost her touch? You decide.

Jumpsuits get a second chance with rompers.....

When someone says jump suit we usually imagine a fifty something woman in a pea green velour sweatsuit browsing price chopper after hitting the gym.... atleast I do. Yet last spring and summer something cute, stylish and all in one piece came on the scene. Rompers are a shorter version of the not always attractive jump suit. They're usually strapless or tank top style with connected shorts at the bottom. Rompers are kindof similiar to a dress just with shorts instead of a skirt. What's the point you ask?! Just something new to either hit or miss with this spring. Whether you rock them or not so much... they're dressy but casual and always make a statement.

It seems there is a major clash in hairstyles this spring and the question everyone's asking is long or short? Long waves are classic and always look good, but some seem to think they've gotten a bit tired. Trend risktakers are chopping it all off in different ways. Style icon and Grammy winning recording artist Rihanna recently told MTV News that she wanted to do "something daring with my hair, something fun, something unexpected".
She certainly took a big leap in the fashion world when she got a dramatic cut and soon dyed it bright red. Although long hair is always pretty, many are craving a change that a nice bob or sleek angled bangs just may bring them.
