All Bleached Out

Teenage girls think its a good idea to bleach their hair to death, when really they don't know they harm, or the bad look behind it. If you are naturally not a blond and decide to bleach your hair to make you one, it could look unnatural for your skin tone. In addition to that, sooner or later your dark roots are going to show through causing an unsightly scene. According to an article from Livestrong.com " Bleaching your hair strips the moisture from each strand. It also causes discoloration of the scalp ,and breakage in the cuticle causing it to fall out." So why do girls bleach their hair? No one in society has an explanation on why girls do this, but if you stay your natural color, or just add a few highlights its a much more safe and all around better looking solution.

Well you do now! In the past few years watches have been so outdated for teens to be wearing up and down the school halls... until now! The bigger the better i guess is the theme for accessories for teens these days. Watches are becoming enormous, and stylish? According to Sam, a senior high school student from upstate New York " I love my new watch, i would've never considered wearing a watch until i got one for my birthday and i absolutely love it! it's so much easier to just look down at the time instead of trying to find my cell phone... or a clock." I do not own a watch, but we'd love to hear our readers feedback!

The Old is Here to Stay

Breakout your old jean jackets ladies and gentlemen! Jean jackets are back and style and people everywhere are wearing them! They go perfect with any outfit. I personally love to pair a cute jean jacket with a sundress if its a little brisk outside, but these jackets are perfect for every season, day or night, dress it up, or dress it down. Most men get the idea that jean jackets are more of a feminine piece of attire, but some of the hottest stars in the media, such as Zac Efron are wearing jean jackets and lookin' good while doing it! Emily G., a high school junior from upstate New York states, " Jean jackets are perfect because you can wear a summery outfit when it's colder and your still comfortable!" So a heads up for this summer, go out and get a jacket!

Victoria's Secrets is not just for undergarments any more! They have opened a whole new line of clothing called PINK. This line of clothing became popular about four years ago, but recently has been exploding with a  new line of yoga pants and yoga capri's with cute waistband patterns! Everywhere you look, girls are wearing these yoga pants because their comfy and casually stylish! As the weather heats up, you don't want to be wearing pants all day long, so fortunately PINK has made capri yogas which are a must have!The all time favorite PINK item of clothing is of course the zip - up sweatshirts with the famous phrase" Love Pink". Although summer is here and it's too hot for a sweatshirt, they are great to just throw on over a bathing suit or with a pair of shorts on a cool summer night! Some of their items may seem a  little pricey, but you'll fall in love and the quality is great!

Hoops I did it again

No more little stud earrings, or cute little hoops. Hoop earrings have become large enough now to wear as  a bracelet.. is this okay? i think big hoop earings can make or break an outfit! If you get them too big, and wear with the wrong clothing people can get the wrong message about you, so be careful how you want yourself perceived! But overall, big hoops and medallion earings are HUGE in fashion today and i suggest in investing in a pair. Also take note as to how heavy the earing is, because too heave could tear your earlobe, which you most definitely do not want!

What's on your pod?

Teenagers in America have grown up listening to bubble gum pop music, boy bands, and trashy rap. This music is constantly bought on i-tunes and uploaded onto teens ipods.But recently, country music has taken the music media by storm. New, younger country stars are coming onto the music scene and writing songs with a deeper meaning than any of Lil Wayne's or the Jonas Brothers songs have, and these songs are meant for and relate to teens! Country music is pure and talks about the hardships and excitements of life. Taylor Swift, a country/pop crossover sensation has made country cool! Girls all around the world are humming her songs and take each of them to heart because she is so young that her personal stories relate to any girl growing up around the world! Also, as of May 25th, 2011; Scotty McCreery is the new winner of American Idol, and just happens to be all country! Scotty is a teen heart throb and i believe will convert more young adults everywhere to listening to country! It seems that a whole new generation of country music listeners will erupt! I personally love country music, and I'd take it any day over a one hit wonder rap song.

GLAD to feet you!

Gladiator sandals are the new "in" this summer for your feet. These sandals have many straps that criss cross across  your feet and up to your ankle and sometimes farther. I personally do not own a pair of these sandals because i believe they make you look shorter, but many teenage girls fill the school hallways with these leading the way.
